Bushwick Open Studios 2026 Returns September 18–20 with Seeking Spaces Opening Exhibition and Hundreds of Participating Venues Across Bushwick

Arts in Bushwick presents Bushwick Open Studios 2026 (BOS2026), the annual community-driven arts festival celebrating the artists, studios, galleries, performance spaces, businesses, and organizations that make Bushwick one of the world’s most recognized creative neighborhoods. The festival runs Friday, September 18 through Sunday, September 20, 2026, with the official opening exhibition, Seeking Spaces, launching Friday evening at 87 George Street, Suite 113, Brooklyn — where visitors can also pick up the official printed BOS weekend map and guide beginning at 6 PM.

Seeking Spaces, the Friday opening event (6–10 PM, $10 admission, free food and wine for the first two hours), presents a group exhibition of artists from across the Bushwick community, with featured works by Thea Rae, Alex Angel, Andrei Zinoviev (EcstasyBoi), Zach Oakman, Andrew Chan, Nicholas Rypkema, and others. The show continues the longtime mission of Seeking Spaces within BOS: to give artists without dedicated studio spaces or gallery representation a platform to show work alongside the festival’s broader programming. On Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, over 100 registered member spaces and hundreds of participating venues across Bushwick open their doors for exhibitions, performances, workshops, artist talks, and special events. A printed neighborhood map, available from Friday evening, serves as a guide to the full weekend.

Arts in Bushwick is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization founded to support and promote the creative community of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The organization produces Bushwick Open Studios, the Bushwick Vendors Market, the P.A.W.S. program, and year-round youth programming through Monsta House Universe. BOS was first held in 2006 and has grown into one of New York’s largest and most widely attended open studio events, drawing visitors from across the city and beyond each fall. The festival is free and open to the public across all participating venues on Saturday and Sunday; the Friday opening event carries a $10 suggested admission.

Now in its twentieth year, Bushwick Open Studios remains the most direct argument available that the neighborhood’s creative community — diverse, multigenerational, and fiercely local — is not finished reinventing itself.
