Gowanus Open Studios, aka GOS, is a free annual weekend event that takes place in October. Artists in the Gowanus neighborhood (and slightly beyond) open their studio doors and welcome the public to view art, meet the artists, learn about the process of art-making, and get a glimpse of the life of artists. This year’s GOS 2018 is the weekend of October 20 – 21.
GOS is an amazing art exhibit and so much more. It is an important opportunity for the Gowanus community to rally around the artists and creativity and energy that makes this area so vibrant.
Over the past 20 years, the GOS event has grown to over 350 artists with studios from Atlantic Ave to 21st Street, and from Court Street to 6th Avenue.
