Each December, the NYC AIDS Memorial, along with organizations worldwide, commemorates those lost to and impacted by HIV/AIDS. This year, the day’s programming includes a reading of names of New Yorkers lost to AIDS, a Queer Soup Night fundraiser and a candlelight vigil.
The observance begins on Sunday, December 1 at 6 PM with the 33rd Annual Out of the Darkness World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil and Gathering. Programming continues the following day with the Reading of Names of New Yorkers Lost to AIDS, running from 10 AM to 6 PM, hosted for the third year in partnership with Housing Works. From 11 AM to 1 PM, the New York City AIDS Memorial will once again partner with Queer Soup Night to serve soup from leading LGBTQ+ New York City-based chefs.
