On nearly 20,000 square feet of exhibition space, THE BROOKLYN WATERFRONT ARTISTS COALITION will celebrate Latinx and Hispanic heritage with over 300 works of art. The community is invited to contribute to the building of the Dia de Los Muertos Community Altar by bringing artwork, mementos, pictures, or letters to display on the altar’s tiers. The 45-year-old artist-run organization celebrates the many artistic and cultural traditions of Hispanic, Caribbean, and Latin American nations. Latinx curator Tamavis, has invited Latinx artists, established and inspiring artists as well as art students to come together and exhibit at this wonderful space on the waterfront in Red Hook Brooklyn. Opening day October 28th!
