Three summer exhibitions are presented by Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) from
July 8 to August 3, 2023:

Go Figure!, The Arc Project: Celebrating Humans from the Mundane to the Mythical and Off the Grid. They are filled with enough color, emotion, artistic technique and variety to make for a surprising and delightful visit to the Red Hook waterfront gallery.

Go Figure! description:
As the name implies, Go Figure! is an exhibition that explores the human face and figure, in all its complexity. Visitors are treated to paintings, drawings and prints that span the myriad of styles from Renaissance realism, to modern approaches and interpretations.

The Arc Project: Celebrating Humans from the Mundane to the Mythical  description: A national juried exhibition, The Arc Project: Celebrating Humans from the Mundane to the Mythical strives to capture the essence of humanity that is our common denominator. The familiar becomes something more when new concepts and perceptions are introduced.

Off the Grid description:
The BWAC summer member exhibition is called Off the Grid. The phrase evokes summer vacation getaways, to be sure, but it is also a phrase used to describe things out of the ordinary. In addition, there is a long history of grid patterns used in art. Many artists use them as a basis for balancing their compositions, while others use grid patterning within their art itself. There are examples of all aspects in this exhibition, in a wide variety of media
