Rebirth: Brooklyn – Art Exhibit and Jazz Party

Why Not Art presents Rebirth: Brooklyn, a Jazz Party and Reception for its first pop-up art exhibition. Sunday November 7, 3pm-6pm, at Littlefield, 635 Sackett St, Brooklyn NY 11217

Wayne Tucker and his jazz band will accompany the exhibition of “Rebirth: Brooklyn” which features 11 artworks that celebrate our exhilarating, if cautious, re-entry into vibrant city life. Gowanus-based artists Jo-Ann Acey, Michael James Freedman and Demarcus McGaughey present artwork that evokes feelings of change, hope, improvisation, and re-imagining life after the pandemic. Wayne Tucker and his band, a staple of Grand Army Plaza open-air concerts during the pandemic and the subject of one of the artworks, will play his well-known funky jazz tunes during the reception. The performance offers a new way for audiences to enjoy visual arts together with music. The visual artists and gallery owners will be on hand to discuss the show and Why Not Art’s mission.

Admission is free and all are welcome (proof of COVID vaccination required.)
