BWAC Artists and Maker Market Offer Unique Items Perfect for Holliday Gifting or Giving

Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) welcomes you to see art and shop for artisanal gifts in our Makers Market. Located on the waterfront in Red Hook Brooklyn, BWAC has been powering through the pandemic, fulfilling the essential function of providing space for artists to exhibit in NYC in as safe a manner as possible. Run by a volunteer group of artists, the nonprofit gallery has been serving the Brooklyn arts community for more than 40 years. The challenges of 2020 have proven it to be an important resource in the Brooklyn community by offering a large, safe space for art appreciators to come and experience art in person, in a stress-free, socially-distanced environment. The galleries offer two floors of art, spread out over 25,000 square feet in a Civil War-era warehouse in view of the Statue of Liberty.

Come see art in person and get a jump on holiday shopping in our Makers Market! You’ll find it is full of unique items made by BWAC artists, open every weekend 1-6 pm through December 6. Cat pillows, Brooklyn coasters, Gowanus Canal tee shirts, jewelry and wooden cigar box handbags are just a few of the quirky, fun finds. Homemade soup, cookies, coffee and other beverages are available in the BWAC Cafe. Relax and gaze out our windows at the stunning views of NY harbor and enjoy an afternoon on the waterfront!

BWAC Gallery, 481 Van Brunt St., Red Hook, Brooklyn, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Please donate at the door or at bwac.org and follow us on social media:

About BWAC
The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) is Brooklyn’s largest artist-run organization. For more than 40 years, BWAC has been exhibiting the artwork of local artists with seasonal mega-exhibits that include national juried and local member shows, which present a wide variety of contemporary visual arts from the traditional to the experimental cutting edge. Ours is a truly unique gallery — a massive Civil War era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront in Brooklyn, NY.
