Nicholas Papadakis has developed a unique painting style that exposes the fractal qualities of rare, powdered pigments, he explores the language of Earth’s physical and organic properties; and expresses the elegant, self-organizing principles of nature through large-scale action paintings. This technique, and the organic patterns that it creates, lend themselves to an almost infinite exploration of the natural world across macro- and micro-cosmic scales. His current artworks explore concepts of extinction, regeneration and sustainability of the human experience.

Papadakis is a Brooklyn-based painter who combines the aesthetics of an artist with the critical inquiries of a scientist to create artworks that revel in the mysteries of nature. Papadakisís wide-ranging curiosity and interest in the arts were instilled through an immersive childhood by an extended family of Scientists, engineers, curators, teachers, librarians, art restoration and antiquities experts. This unique background led from the streets of Detroit to the pursuit of an interdisciplinary art degree from The Rhode Island School of Design and on to New York City.

Papadakis has exhibited paintings, photography and sculpture at museums and galleries internationally, his works have been featured in books, magazines, music albums, and have been commissioned by corporate and private clients.
