Performers: Bob Goldberg, Mark Nathanson, Rachel Swaner, Genvieve Leloup, Melissa Elledge Bachtopus is an accordion ensemble from NYC that performs music by contemporary composers and Johann Sebastian Bach. The ensemble is one of the few in the United States that focuses on new music. The group features original compositions by Bratko Bibi, Peter Flint, Philip Glass, Lars Hollmer, Guy Klusevsek, Sy Kushner, Arvo Pärt, Elliot Roman, and Stas Venglevski. BWAC presents ArtistTalkArt (A_T_A), on June 2, BWAC ArtistsTalkArt presents artists talking informally about for 5-7 minutes about their work, on display during the Spring Members exhibition. The artist is free to discuss any aspect of their work. There will be a short
Q&A at the end of each artist presentation. The program will take an hour.

On June 2nd meet Artists Sandra Forrest, Susan Handwerker, Renee Radenberg, Jeff Watts and Fritz Weiss.
June 3 – Gallery Talk Put your sneakers on for a whirlwind tour of the BWAC gallery with member Janet Rothholz as she resumes her Gallery Talks starting Sunday, June 3rd, 1:00pm. Janet has selected as many as 12+ pieces to highlight and discuss. She will talk about the different styles, techniques and disciplines of the artwork and include personal comments of the artists. In addition, some of the exhibiting artists may be on-hand to answer questions. You won’t want to miss it!

BWAC’s 25,000 sf Civil War-era gallery is located at a spectacular waterfront site overlooking the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor across from the Fairway supermarket and down the block from IKEA in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, set amidst Artist Studios, maker-places, galleries and trendy restaurants. BWAC Gallery is accessible by public transportation, NYC Ferry, IKEA Water Taxi and biking is a breeze!

Admission to the Gallery, The Red Hook Experience, the waterfront view, and all special events is free to everyone, donations gladly accepted.
