Gowanus Open Studios This Weekend!

Saturday and Sunday, October 21-22 from 12 to 6pm

TI Art Studios will be participating in next weekend’s Gowanus Open Studio event with over 75 artists opening their doors to the public. It’s a great opportunity to get a “behind the scenes” view of how and where an artist works.

The piece comments on behavior amidst the torrent of information we’re connected to and try to follow; The difficultly to disengage from the 24/7 always-on news cycle, how it can be cryptic or pithy from our sources, and our social media (Twitter specifically) as an imperfect information conduit all relay as integral elements to the piece.
Andrea DeFelice’s work will be on view at two locations for Gowanus Open Studios. Her studio at 183 Lorraine Street, studio #37 on the 3rd floor, & at The Yard Gowanus, 157 13th Street at Third Avenue, ground floor.

Viewers are invited to write their promise to support liberty for all people, and place it into the glass jar. The promises will be fed into the liberty artwork after Open Studios…
