Join the Brooklyn Museum this June for an immersive Gallery/Studio Program photography class inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s exploration of abstract form and color. Develop an understanding of the principles guiding O’Keeffe’s aesthetics and learn to apply them to your own work over four Saturdays.
Offered in partnership with Brooklyn Botanic Garden, this course is led by teaching artists, with guest appearances by curators and staff of both the Museum and the Garden. Classes take place in the galleries, including the exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern, as well as in the Garden. You can also take advantage of the Museum’s digital print studio. Open to adults of all skill levels—all you need is a camera!
Schedule: Saturdays, June 3–24, 1–4 pm
Course fees (supplies included): Members: $205, non-Members: $228
A discount is available for Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden members. If you are a Museum Member, contact membership@brooklynmuseum.org for your discount code. If you are a member of Brooklyn Botanic Garden, contact membership@bbg.org.
