The SONYA Art Walk (formerly The SONYA Stroll) is a self-guided tour of fine arts studios and other art venues in four of Brooklyn’s most vibrant neighborhoods: Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Wallabout, and Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Come meet working artists in their studios and discover some of the best art being made in Brooklyn, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and ceramics.
The SONYA Art Walk is a unique event:
• It covers some of the most evocative neighborhoods of Brooklyn, from the elegant brownstones of Fort Greene, to the warehouses and lofts around the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the energy-filled streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
• It fosters genuine cooperation between artists and community members – local businesses not only sponsor the Art Walk, they also host artists’ work and serve as information hubs.
• Visitors have the opportunity to sample some of the best cafes, bars and restaurants in Brooklyn.
Celebrate the opening of the SONYA Art Walk at our Preview Exhibition, where visitors can view a sampling of the artist participants in the Art Walk at 122 Washington Avenue between Myrtle and Park Avenues.
The SONYA Art Walk and Preview Exhibition are FREE and open to the public.
