The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts presents Dandy Lion: An Articulation of a Re(de)fined Black Masculine Identity, a photography exhibition of works created by ten artists exploring the phenomenon of Black Dandyism throughout the African Diaspora. Artists include Hanif Abdur-Rahim, Kwesi Abensetts, Laylah Amatullah Barrayn, Russell K. Frederick, Cassi Amanda Gibson, Akintola Hanif, Jamala Johns, Dexter R. Jones, Amanda Adams-Louis, Brandi Pettijohn. Curator Shantrelle P. Lewis and the artists will be present for an opening reception on Thursday, July 21, 2011, 6:00 PM at MoCADA, 80 Hanson Place, Brooklyn, NY.
