Brooklyn, NY – Authorized to Work in the US Press is proud to present its first Risograph Print Show: Drums on Paper, a night of prints and music. As part of New York Fine Art Print Week, organized by the International Fine Print Dealers Association in conjunction with the Annual IFPDA Print Fair.
For this show, we invited over 30 artists to print & play with our RP3700 Risograph. In addition to the great visual artists, Pinclouds will be performing at the event. The prints will be released and sold on authorizedtowork.us after the event.
Risographs use “color drums” to print one color at a time. To print different colors, you manually need to change the color drum in your Risograph which are not very small. For a multi-color print -very similar to screenprinting- you need to print different layers of color. The colors we have at Authorized to Work in The US Press are red, blue, purple, steel, black and metallic gold. So all of the prints you will see at the show will be using a selection of these colors. Even though this looks limiting, it will showcase the variety of artistic creativity in this show.
