11th Annual Small Works Show
December 10, 2015 – January 10, 2016 – Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, November 11, 2015
440 Gallery is hosting its 11th Annual Small Works Show. This juried exhibition will feature any artwork which is no more than 12″ in scale, including framing or mounting. The exhibition will run from Thursday, December 10, 2015 through Sunday, January 10, 2016, with an opening reception on Thursday, December 10, 6:00-9:00 PM.
Juror. The juror for this year’s Small Works Show is Amy Williams, photographer and former arts administrator and head of installation at 440 Gallery. She has been a consultant for Dinaburg Arts, exhibited extensively in the Tri-State area and at the Galerie de Multiples in Paris. Williams continues to work in analog photographic processes while expanding into video installation. (See More About Our Juror below)
Eligibility: Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 years old. Work must be no more than 12″ in any direction including the framing or mounting, or video monitors. This will be strictly enforced. There is no theme, but we welcome all media including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture in any medium, and digital media. All work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Maximum weight of sculpture: 50 pounds. Sculptors must provide floor stand or wall mount with a maximum footprint of 12″ x 12.” Wall mounted monitors must be provided for videos.
