VisionIntoArt Presents FERUS Festival at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn (May 29–30)

Launched last year, VisionIntoArt’s annual FERUS Festival goes to Pioneer Works in Brooklyn on May 29 and 30, 2015. FERUS Festival is VIA’s designated incubation period for new projects to be presented in a workshop performance setting. Showcasing some of today’s most exciting creators of music and theatre, the 2015 FERUS Festival is a two-day extravaganza of new music, theatre, sound and visual worlds. VisionIntoArt is a multimedia production company that facilitates flamboyant, confounding, and enticing collaborations.

(The Many Trespasses of) Invisible Men: music theater work in 10 episodes for 2 male singers & violinist.

Artists: Cornelius Dufallo (composer/violin) and Royce Vavrek (librettist)

The Diana Vreeland Opera: workshop

Using variety of musical idioms and points of view, a beautiful lie hints at the spirit of a person who demanded that women abandon their pies and domestic chores for the vast expanse of Russia and the glittering metallics of the modernists.

Dreams & Nightmares

A fantastical staged vocal work the length of a long nap, made up of miniature musical dream episodes, each composed, curated, and staged by a different composer.

Legend of Sigh

Explores themes of birth, transformation and death through retelling of an old Azerbaijani folktale
