Screwball Spaces Open Studios 2013

Screwball Spaces will open its doors to the public October 19th and 20th, 2013. Come explore over 60 artists’ studios working in a sweeping range of styles, media, and subject matter, offering a significant slice of contemporary art culture in a single setting. Rarely can the public visit so many working artists under one roof and see painting, drawing, ceramics, design, photography, mixed-media, electronic arts, photography and work that doesn’t fit neatly into any of these categories!! Screwball Spaces Open Studios weekend offers visitors a unique opportunity to visit artists’ creative environment and a unique opportunity for the public to witness our vibrant and diverse community of contemporary artists in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

‘Bowl to Catch Tear Drops’
Smoke-fired clay with glaze and 24 k gold leaf.
Meant to be hand-held to collect tear drops, and then contents to be tipped into the darkest night.
The angel on underside who holds a rose, might then lead you to continue your story..

Visit Studio #41 and see my current work in progress for Lower East Side Public Art Project; as well as my ‘conceptionally functional ceramics’: artworks for personal ritual and spiritual celebration…
