Dobbin House Gallery is pleased to present Brian Sensebe’s first New York solo exhibition, WORKS. This show will feature a series of recent paintings, which can be described as a journey into the intrinsic value of art. Working outside the context of contemporary society and the capitalist market-based culture of today, Sensebe’s show is an exploration of the term “pure art”.

Brian Sensebe was born in Lima, Peru in 1978 and his family relocated to Florida shortly after. Growing up, Sensebe first began experimenting with graffiti and street art, which he later developed into a career in the visual arts. He has rejected the academic route of organized institutions, through self taught methods and a non traditional approach. He is currently living and working in New York City.
