Thanks for the comments! John, your words described the scene beautifully. I could see it in my mind. I will have to try and check out the documentary. I did some new photos today out in Sheepshead Bay. Got some goodies! I’ll have them up on my website soon hopefully. Thanks for looking everyone!

Gorgeous. Your pictures remind me of the opening scene of the documentary “Jazz on a Summer Day,” filmed at the Newport Jazz Festival circa ‘58. The movie opens with what appears to be a ‘living’ abstract-expressionist painting, like an animated Jackson Pollock. It’s a close-up of the water with reflections of the sun and yachts (the America’s Cup race was the same weekend as the jazz Fest) dancing crazily all over the waves and ripples. It was set to the bounding music of Sonny Stitts, who was playing the main stage.

You have a great eye. Thanks for sharing it.
